No.2 was a small 4 wheel battery electric locomotive built at the company's Horwich Works in 1917 to haul coal trains at the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railways Clifton Junction power station. It worked at Clifton Junction until about 1946 when it was transferred to Greenhill Sleeper Works near Derby. It was finally withdrawn and scrapped in 1947.
