Waggon und Maschinen A.G. Railbus

Probably one of the more successful railbuses built, these German machines were supplied by Waggon und Maschinen A.G. Based on the German railbuses, they were the only ones fitted with buffers and drawgear. A number have survived into preservation.

This is the Heljan model and marks their first foray into the railbus market. It is extremely heavy for its size, which is a good as it aids adhesion and power pickup through the four wheel chassis. A smooth runner, it also features working lights. The only let down, if you could call it that, is that the interior isn't painted. A shame as it's quite visible through the large windows. However, that will be corrected in due course when I get around to fitting a DCC decoder.

MTK also offered a kit of this class. Anbrico produced a kit of this class some years ago.
