Hudson-Fordson Go-Go Tractor

Robert Hudson of Leeds usually got other manufacturers to make the locomotives that they sold in their catalogue. However, the Go-Go Tractor was one of their own 'home builds'. Using a Fordson tractor as the prime mover, the tractor assembly was fitted to a running frame. A rudimentary cab was also fitted.

The Go-Go Tractor is an unusual narrow gauge prototype and I felt I would like to have a go at one. As a result, I have managed to obtain some basic dimensions and a useful selection of detailed photographs. From these, I hope to be able to build one of these locomotives, based really on the one that was preserved at the Abbey Light Railway in Leeds.
