The EF1 locomotives were built in 1914 for the North Eastern Railway's Newport-Shildon line which was electrified at 1,500V dc overhead.

This is a Judith Edge kit and has gone together reasonably well so far. It is powered by a Black Beetle motor bogie.

Progress to completion has been a bit slow so far, but I hope to get it finished shortly.
