100, EB1 Bo+Bo 1500V dc Overhead 100 was a former North Eastern Railway EF1 No.11 rebuilt as an electric banking locomotive for use on Worsbrough Bank, numbered 26510. However, it was found that it wasn't required and went to Ilford Depot for shunting emu's in 1949. It was transferred to Departmental Stock in 1959 and re-numbered 100. It became redundant in 1960 when the GER overhead lines changed from 1500V dc to 25kV ac. It was stored at Goodmayes before being finally withdrawn and scrapped in 1964. Judith Edge Kits makes a kit of the EF1/EB1. |
